Privacy policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data is handled when you visit patrickcookman.com or contact me, and what your rights are.
Who is responsible for your data
This website is run by Arlbeck OÜ, registry code 17094985, Sepapaja tn 6, Lasnamäe district, Tallinn, Harju County, 15551, Estonia, represented by Patrick Cookman. For anything about your data, email arlbeckou [at] gmail [dot] com.
When you visit this website
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. To deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data from your visit, including your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time of the request. Cloudflare handles this data on my behalf under a data processing agreement. You can read how Cloudflare handles data in its privacy policy.
The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cloudflare may process this data outside the European Union, including in the United States. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as providing adequate protection.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
This site doesn't use cookies. To see how many people visit, which pages they read and where they come from, it uses Ahrefs Web Analytics, provided by Ahrefs Pte. Ltd., Singapore. Ahrefs Web Analytics doesn't set cookies, doesn't build a profile of you and doesn't follow you across other websites. Your IP address and browser type are used briefly to work out your country and to count you as one visitor for that day; the IP address itself isn't stored. You can read more in Ahrefs' privacy policy.
The legal basis is my legitimate interest in understanding how this site is used (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The fonts are stored on this site, so loading a page doesn't contact any third-party font service.
When you contact me
The contact links on this site open a form hosted by Google Forms. If you send it, I receive your name, email address, website, your role and any details you add. If you email me instead, I receive your name, email address and your message. I use this only to reply and, if we decide to work together, to arrange and carry out that work.
The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), or my legitimate interest in answering your enquiry (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The form and my email are provided by Google Workspace, which processes your answers and messages on my behalf under a data processing agreement. When you open the form, Google also receives technical data such as your IP address and browser type, and may set its own cookies; Google's privacy policy explains how it handles this. Google may process data outside the European Union, including in the United States, and is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
I keep form answers and emails for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. If we work together, I keep business records for as long as Estonian law requires.

This site links to my profiles on Upwork, LinkedIn and Linktree. If you follow those links, their own privacy policies apply.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data I hold about you
- have it corrected if it's wrong
- have it deleted
- restrict or object to how I use it
- receive it in a portable format
To use any of these rights, email arlbeckou [at] gmail [dot] com.
You can also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon), Tatari 39, 10134 Tallinn, Estonia, aki.ee.
Changes to this policy
If the way this site handles data changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
